A co-worker shared this news story from a parish in Summit Hill, PA. They have an annual festival that they completely revamped for Covid-19. Instead they converted their festival to a drive-thru and the neighborhood loved it.
At the beginning of the story, the pastor says, “Just because you can’t do something you used to, doesn’t mean you can’t do something different.”
This is the attitude I want us to have in our parishes. Things look different because of Covid-19. Wow! That’s the understatement of 2020 isn’t it?! But just because their different doesn’t mean they’re impossible. So get creative and think outside the box. Consider how your parish can still live its mission and brainstorm seemingly crazy ideas – one of them just might work!
You can watch the whole story here, and read more about the festival on their website.
Share how your parish has gotten creative, we’d all love to hear it!!
