Because of my work as a Parish Coach I’m able to spent a lot of time in different areas of the country. This spring I spent some time in the Archdiocese of Detroit. Visiting Detroit is always a treat for me! An added bonus is that my godfather lives there, so I get a nice family visit too!
In 2016 the Archdiocese held a Synod and the Bishop followed it up with his letter, Unleash the Gospel. This has unleashed so many great efforts for sharing the faith. One of my favorites is the Open Door Policy podcast! Even if you aren’t a resident of the Archdiocese of Detroit, you’ll be inspired by their interviews! They open it with a round of quick questions from “who inspired you in the faith” to “what did you have for breakfast” (my grandmother Viola and Spinach, Egg, & Feta wrap & Flat White, if you were wondering).
This article I saw recently about Digital Evangelizing, Socializing, and Not Scandalizing was excellent! We talk a lot about how we should be using social media for good – but how to do that is a different question! Since I can’t write it any better than the article’s author, take a peek over there!
